Rescue Beauty Lounge 'Aqua Lily' is a bright aqua blue with a subtle fuchsia shimmer (similar to the one featured here). The formula was quintessential RBL: easy to apply and nicely opaque in two medium coats. RBL's can have issues with certain qdtc's, so this time I tried using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti-Chip Top Coat and it seems to be cooperating as the picture below is day 3 with no wrapping and I've some tipwear but no real chipping. This would be a ho-hum color if the shimmer did not give it an interesting amount of depth. I think that this color would be nice as jewelry.
Taken with flash. Unfortunately, this is one of those colors that gives me lobster hands. T-T I've seen dupes of this using turquoise polish and CND Raspberry Shimmer. While not as bright, I think SpaRitual 'Ebb & Flow' would be a good base.
Macro of the shimmer.
Now for the really bad news: the price of Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes increased from $18.00 US to $20.00 US permanently with this collection. This is probably one of the last new RBL polishes I will be featuring on this blog unless a color comes out that completely wows me. The colors are pretty but are they $20.00 worth of pretty? We'll have to wait and see!
Rescue Beauty Lounge polishes can be purchased at the website for $20.
Thanks for Reading!

Aqua Lily is so gorgeous I kick myself for not getting it! I might have to snag it when it comes back around.
Love how it shimmers! definitely a polish that is worth having:)
goshh that's pricey, but the color is SO freakin gorgeous!!! i received a claires polish in a swap that has a similar base and a really strong pink shimmer, it's really sheer but i'm wondering if some layering would make it a dupe for this!
Have you heard or seen Sation "O My Oceania" Nice dupe for less money...
Hello :) I'm the fan who created Aqua Lily and I still can't believe how fast it sold out. So happy that Ji is bringing it back! Funny that you mentioned jewelry because my mom's turquoise earrings and necklace were the inspiration for this color. I ended up making a few pendants with it :) thanks for the review and the lovely macro shot! -KDK
